Purpose and Goals: Our supported living services for young people (16+ children) are designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment where the LAC (Look After and Care Leaver) children (including those with special needs) can thrive. We offer personalised care plans, educational, therapeutic support, and social activities to promote development, well-being and smooth transition to adulthood. Encourage community engagement and integration that focus on skills development and enrichment. As an organisation we aim to strategically positioned to support and promote skill uplift and enable young people to complete daily life tasks independently. Focus on practical life skills training through collaboration with community centre, individualised coaching and mentoring on household core skills. For example, we aim to partner with a local community centre that host weekly cooking classes, where young people learn to prepare simple, nutritious dishes. These classes not only provide valuable culinary skills but also foster social connections among young people, making learning a more enjoyable experience. These relationships can significantly enhance the learning experience and provide ongoing support.
Our Services
Our dedicated team works closely with young people to develop their confidence, skills and well-being. We provide:
24/7 Support: Our trained staff are available around the clock to offer guidance and assistant as needed. We offer individualised support programs that include care planning, life skills training, educational support, emotional and social support, and health and well-being guidance.
Delivering outcomes-focussed support: Supporting individuals to identify meaningful targets that ultimately enhance their independence adopting an enabling approach (i.e. focusing on what the young person can do rather than what they can’t). We create personalised plans that focus on individual goals, whether its education, employment, or life skills development.
Emotional and well-being Support: We foster a nurturing atmosphere where young people feel heard and supported in their emotional journey.
Trauma-Informed Care: We use trauma-based approaches to support young people who have experienced adversity, ensuring our care is sensitive, understanding, and responsive to their needs. Safeguarding, and ensuring all individuals living in our homes are protected and staff are trained to identify and act upon indicators of abuse.
Live Skills Development: Our approach focuses on developing self-management, communication skills, problem-solving, resilience, and social skills to empower young people to navigate daily challenges and achieve long-term goals. From budgeting and cooking to self-care and job readiness, we equip young people with the skills needed for independent living.
Arranging activities and wellbeing events for individuals to take part in based on their needs and interests. These could involve having external partners visit to give talks, such as the local fire service or pharmacists, or fun social activities such as aerobics classes or arts and crafts.

Our Home
Safe and Structured Living Environment with clear expectations and boundaries to ensure a secure and supportive environment. Our homes are designed to be a welcoming, comfortable, and cozy space where young people can feel safe and at ease. Our home includes (ring and non-ring fencing):
- Shared accommodation between two or more young people, either semi-independent or with 24/7 managed support.
- Single occupancy accommodation for individuals who are either more independent or not suited to live with other young people (e.g. due to challenging or risky behaviour), usually semi-independent.
At Care Angels Batley Ltd, we are committed to creating a supportive and homely environment where young people can grow, learn, and achieve their aspirations. We offer ongoing, tailored support (rather than personal care) specifically to young people, our themes vary considerably.
- Delivering a person-centred service through outcomes-focussed support planning, encouraging and supporting young people to develop the skills they need to live independently based on their needs, background and ambitions. include maintaining a tenancy, budgeting, cooking, accessing relevant benefits and managing their health needs.
- Supporting access to volunteering, education, training and employment opportunities based on the young person’s aspirations, enabling them to develop stable and sustainable careers and options for their future. Involve identifying college courses or apprenticeships, setting reminders to attend classes and employability support.
- Providing suitably qualified staff to support the aspiration and need of the young people. Encourage provision of consistent support and ensuring sufficient capacity to meet different accommodation arrangements and needs. Pilot the suitability of keyworker system to promote and ensure provision of continuity of care.
- Maximising young person safety through robust safeguarding and risk management. Young people may have needs/backgrounds that impact their safety such as past trauma, gang affiliations, history of abuse/exploitation, challenging behaviours and substance misuse, with providers agreeing risk management measures to offset risks whilst protecting the young person’s independence.
- Partnership working with other providers/organisations related to the young person’s support, ensuring a multi-agency approach to meeting outcomes, addressing challenges and transition to independent living, for example, social workers, mental health teams, the police, emergency services and substance misuse charities.
